Margaret Gray is the Education Policy Associate. In this role, she assists in advancing and advocating for the organization’s education policy priorities in workforce preparedness, diversifying the local STEM pipeline, promoting Education Technology in K-12 schools, and supporting the implementation of statewide education reforms.
Prior to joining the Leadership Group, Margaret was a Teach For America corps member in San Jose, California. She taught 4th grade, served on the school leadership team, and coordinated a Mini Mermaids running club. Margaret also served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Panama from 2011-2013 where she taught English and partnered with the ministry of education to improve their English as a Second Language program.
Margaret has an M.A. in Urban Education–Policy and Administration from Loyola Marymount University and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
