Peter Skinner is the Senior Director of Transportation and Land Use at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Peter has more than a decade of public sector experience working on environmental programs including water conservation, solid waste/recycling and transportation. Prior to joining the Leadership Group in September 2008, Peter spent eight years with the City of Mountain View, as its senior transportation programs and policy analyst.  At the Leadership Group, Peter is responsible for the organization’s transportation policy portfolio, which includes efforts to bring BART to Silicon Valley, construction of High Speed Rail and promoting the adoption electric vehicles.   Peter is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he majored in environmental studies. He is a life-long Santa Clara County resident and lives in the east San Jose foothills with his wife and two children.
