Don Tran is the Health and Community Development Associate for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Within the Health portfolio, Don advocates for policies which improve healthcare accessibility, promote public health issues, and improve the quality of health care. Within the Community Development portfolio, his focus lies within engaging local leaders in community development and housing events such as the Annual Housing Tour and Neighborhood Leaders Council.
Prior to joining the Leadership Group, Don worked as a Program Coordinator within the San Jose State University Research Foundation promoting diabetes prevention among Indigenous populations in Santa Clara County. Don has also worked for Netflix and Sacred Heart Community Service in various social media and community engagement roles.
Don holds a B.S. in Business Administration (with an emphasis in Marketing) and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health. He attended San Jose State University for both his undergraduate and graduate studies.
