Laboratory for Learning

A Laboratory for Learning – Sponsors Intel and Mission College

Laboratory for Learning is an initiative of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group in partnership with its member companies and Intel Corporation to help provide local K-8 teachers with tools to be successful in the classroom.  Participating teachers who complete the entire 80 hours of training receive a stipend and all training materials come at no cost to the participating teachers.  The Leadership Group has provided high quality professional development to more than 400 Silicon Valley teachers through the program.


In 2011, Silicon Valley: A Laboratory for Learning trained over 140 teachers in the region thanks to the support and generosity of our sponsors including: AMD, AMGEN, AT&T, BAE Systems, BD Biosciences, Borel Private Bank, CA Inc., Cargill, Comcast, Deloitte, ETM Electromatic Inc., Finelite, Hewlett-Packard, IBM Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Mattson Technology, Miasole, Mosys, PG&E, Polycom, Rockwell Collins, Rovi, San Jose Giants, SAP, Seagate, Spikesource, SunPower, SVB Financial Group, Synopsys, Trimble, University of Phoenix, Verari Systems Inc., Varian, and Wyse Technologies.
