2015 Silicon Valley Housing Tour
Showcasing sustain affordable and market rate homes along the VTA light rail corridor in Santa Clara County
The Silicon Valley has one fo the most expensive housing markets in the nation. How do we ensure hardworking families and individuals who play a vital role in our economy are not priced out of Silicon Valley?
Every year the Silicon Valley Leadership Group organizes Housing Tours to showcase affordable housing as well as high density housing developments to educate local officials, stakeholders, and community leaders about ht elements that make communities livable and sustainable.
This year we will once again bring together policy makers, developers, architects, planners, and neighborhood leaders on a walking and train tour along the VTA light rail corridor in Santa Clara County. Along the way you will see both affordable and market rate housing that is both high density and transit oriented. We will also hear from several speakers to better understand the need, nature, and benefits of more housing developments.
Attend the 2015 Housing Tour to learn how you, as a community leader, can constructively guide and shape future development in your neighborhood. See, firsthand, examples of housing and retail that provide safe and stable housing for our schoolteachers, nurses, and police and firefights, as well as their families.
$10 registration fee includes VTA light rail pass, light breakfast and lunch. No cancellations but substitutions welcome. Please wear comfortable Walking shoes and bring water.
