The mission of the Transportation Policy Committee (TPC) is to help assure Silicon Valley’s long-term economic health and quality of life by increasing the ease by which Silicon Valley employees, residents and cargo move through and within the Valley and to do so in a manner that minimizes our impact on the environment.
Specifically, the Transportation Committee seeks to:
- Expand the reach, modes, interconnectivity and quality of our transportation system;
- Increase the capacity and maximize the efficiency of our transportation system;
- Reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions;
- Seek opportunities to advance related Leadership Group goals, such as protecting open space, promoting transit-oriented development, and improving the quality of our air and water.
