At the end of 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Karen Douglas as the newest Commissioner of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
Commissioner Douglas was previously Senior Advisor for Energy in the Office of Governor Newsom since 2022, and served as a California Energy Commission Member from 2008 to 2022. She and the CPUC tackle issues from water to energy to railroads to telecommunications, and they serve as a vital part of California’s vast energy infrastructure.
SVLG members are invited to join us for a virtual roundtable with Commissioner Karen Douglas to get to know her new role, what she is focused on, and directly ask any questions you have. The discussion will be moderated by Tim McRae, SVLG’s SVP of Sustainable Growth.
